Approach

I recognize how difficult it can be to ask for help when trying to resolve challenging issues. I feel that it is a privilege to hear people’s personal stories and to help them uncover their strengths. We can learn a lot from our stories and how our life events have shaped us. Sometimes we need to re-visit difficult times and make peace in order to move forward. Other times it is about examining the here and now and developing new skills and ways to cope. My job is to facilitate this process, instill hope, provide encouragement and help you to carve out life goals to help you reach your full potential.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship that I develop with clients is one of my strongest tools. It is a relationship built on respect, trust and honest communication. I think you will find me to be empathetic, warm and non-judgmental. I draw from a variety of styles to tailor the therapy to meet your needs. This includes: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused, and Exposure Therapy.
